New High School Update

Bay Mills Community college has granted Madison Academy permission to move forward with the intended purchase of Valley Christian Academy for use as the High School facility. Currently, The Romine Group has retained an environmental engineering firm to move forward with investigating the site as well as other related due diligence. Piper Jaffray has been retained, and has been working diligently toward the sale of the bonds that will enable Madison to purchase this site. Renovation and new construction plans have been submitted to the state for review. We are planning to occupy this site in time for the start of the 2010/2011 school year.

Madison and The Romine Group have been collaborating to finalize the details of start/ending times, transportation, arrangement of grades, etc. We intend to lay out a formalized plan toward the end of this school year.

Please check back for more details on this exciting news!

Madison Academy is tuition-free public school academy that opened its doors to the Flint community in the fall of 2004. Serving students in the kindergarten through tenth grades, Madison will add an additional grade each school year until it serves Kindergarten through Twelfth grades.

Mission

To instill academic excellence, character development, a love for life long learning, and service to others.
