Madison Academy is tuition-free public school academy that opened its doors to the Flint community in the fall of 2004. Serving students in the kindergarten through twelfth grades.

·        Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Applications are now available for those interested in applying to the Genesee Career Institute for the 2017-2018 school year. New GCI students can either apply online by January 26th or you can submit a paper application by February 15th to Ms. Rogers. You MUST be on track for graduation. Please stop by to meet with Ms. Rogers if you’re unsure of your status. Paper applications are on the information table in the office.   •  Also, the GCI is hosting an Open House on Thursday, January 26th from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. You and your parents can ask questions and take a look at the awesome programs they offer.

  • Seniors, we’ve been able to reschedule the Epic CNC Academy presentation. A representative will be here on Friday, January 20th at 7:30 a.m. to discuss their program. Remember, this program is for students who are interested in working as CNC machinists making tools and parts for other industries.

  • The next career workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 25th during lunch. This month’s featured speakers will be from the National Guard and the Navy. Come find out about the thousands of dollars in college scholarship money available to military members, in addition to the exciting careers they offer. If you’re interested in attending, please sign up in the office or see Ms. Rogers. Thanks!
  • Attention Seniors! A representative from U of M-Flint will be conducting onsite admissions on Monday, January 23rd beginning at 7:30 a.m. If you missed out on participating in November and are still interested in attending U of M-Flint, please stop by the office to sign up, as you must schedule an appointment time. Our representative can also assist you with financial aid information. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Rogers. Thanks!

The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is offering pre-employability leadership training to Genesee County high school students who are currently ages 14-18 (Grades 9-12). Please stop by the High School office to pick up an application.
